Delete Your Account & Data

Effective Date: June 17, 2026

Miftah — Daily Islamic Challenge gives you two ways to delete your account and the data linked to it. Choose whichever is easier for you.

Option 1: Delete in the app (instant)

  1. Open Miftah on your device.
  2. Tap the settings (gear) icon.
  3. Scroll to the Account section.
  4. Tap "Delete my account & data".
  5. Confirm the deletion when prompted.

This immediately and permanently deletes your account and all linked data — there is no waiting period and no recovery afterward.

Option 2: Request deletion by email

If you can no longer access the app, email us and we'll process the deletion on your behalf:

Send a request to support@alifbay.in with the subject line "Delete my Miftah account". If you signed in with Google, please send it from that same Google email address so we can verify the request. We process email deletion requests within 7 days.

What gets deleted

  • Account & identity: your Supabase user record, and your linked Google identity (email, name) if you signed in with Google.
  • Display name: any display name you set.
  • Gameplay data: all solved-challenge records, scores, clue usage, and your current/best streak.

All of the above is permanently removed from our database (Supabase). Nothing is retained after deletion, beyond what may briefly exist in routine infrastructure backups, which are cycled out within 30 days.

What is not affected

Deleting your account does not affect any other AlifBay or Google account you hold, and does not remove the app itself from your device — you can uninstall it separately at any time.
