Miftah ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our mobile application, Miftah — Daily Islamic Challenge.
Miftah is a daily Islamic puzzle challenge app designed to test your knowledge, build streaks, and discover rich history in 30-60 seconds. Our application does not display advertisements, does not contain third-party trackers, and is completely free to use.
1. Information We Collect
A. Session & Profile Information
- Anonymous Authentication Data: When you first open the app, we utilize Supabase Anonymous Auth to create a secure, temporary guest account. This generates a unique user identifier (UID) without requiring any personal contact details.
- Google Account Information (Optional): If you choose to back up your streaks and scores, you can link a Google Account. This links your Google email address and name to your existing anonymous guest profile.
- Display Name: We may ask for a display name or initials to personalize the app layout and display your records.
B. Gameplay & Progress Metrics
To operate the daily game features, we store:
- Solve Records: Which challenges you solved, the date solved, the number of clues revealed, the number of guesses attempted, and your scores.
- Streak Statistics: Your current day-to-day solve streak and your all-time best streak.
C. Information We Do NOT Collect
- Contacts & Photos: We do not ask for or collect access to your device's contacts, photos, microphone, or camera.
- Ad Trackers: We do not integrate any advertisement networks or user profiling analytics.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your data strictly to:
- Verify your active login sessions and match your game entries to your player ID.
- Track, calculate, and increment your daily solve streaks and point scores.
- Sync your game progress across multiple devices if you link your Google Account.
3. Data Sharing
Your data is securely stored on Supabase servers. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for commercial or marketing purposes.
4. Your Rights and Deletion
You have full control over your player data. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data — at any time, for any reason — directly from the app's Settings screen ("Delete my account & data"), or by emailing us. Full instructions are on our Delete Account page.
- Data Clearing: Clearing app data or uninstalling the app removes local credentials only (for anonymous guest accounts) and does not delete data already stored on our servers.
- Account Deletion: Deleting your account permanently removes your profile, display name, solved-challenge records, scores, and streaks from our database, along with any linked Google identity.
